Perkins power helps Ronggong make a clean sweep in 40 countries.
Fujian Ronggong Environmental Protection Machinery Co., Ltd. develops, manufactures and markets advanced equipment to support a range of environmental cleanup applications. One of their affiliates, Fujian Banyan Environmental Machinery Co. Ltd., produces environmental sweeping and cleaning systems used in more than 40 countries and regions.
Their latest product, the Ronking RG-8240, is a multifunctional road sweeper, offering a unique combination of features. They are used to clean urban sidewalks and bike lanes, public squares, parks, sports venues, exhibition centres and many other locations. And, they are easily reconfigured to brush or push snow, spray water, apply landscaping chemicals, suck water from puddles and perform a variety of other functions.
The RG-8240 is powered by a four cylinder, 2.2 litre, naturally aspirated, indirect injection Perkins® 404D-22 engine producing 38 kW and 143 Nm of torque. The engine meets China NRIII, EU Stage IIIA and U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim equivalent emission regulations.
“Road sweepers require high power and excellent fuel economy, so these criteria are key when determining the right engine supplier,” explained Ronggong deputy general manager, Songjie Xie. “After repeated investigation and comparison, Ronggong chose Perkins as its engine supplier for those reasons and also because of Perkins global distributor network.”
“Sime Darby Elco Power, our Perkins authorised distributor, supports us throughout the entire process of designing, developing, testing, manufacturing and marketing our Perkins powered products,” Songjie added. “They’re part of the global network of Perkins authorised distributors which supports our equipment wherever it is sold. And, as we continue to grow, that support network will become an increasingly important part of our ability to provide excellent products and services to global machine users.”
