A planned data centre campus in the U.S. state of Arkansas is projected to be the largest private investment ever made there. According to International Construction magazine, the project will cost 10 billion USD and include offices, roads, a dedicated electrical substation and five data centre buildings on a 1,178-acre site in the city of West Memphis, Arkansas.
On-site signage names Turner Construction and Yates Construction as the lead contractors, both of which also are working together on an Amazon data centre project in Jackson, Mississippi. The project is estimated to create up to 300 construction jobs during the built out and a substantial number of permanent jobs when it becomes operational.
