The annual CONEXPO-Con/Agg tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada drew more than 140,000 construction industry professionals from 128 countries in March. As reported in a recent issue of Construction Equipment magazine, attendees heard positive messages about equipment supplier’s contribution to the U.S. economy and the continuing boom in data centre construction.
During a press panel, Megan Tanel, president and CEO of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), reported that member businesses added $415 billion to the gross domestic product of the United States in 2025, and supported more than 2.2 million jobs. The panel also said that data centre construction spending is expected to continue contributing significantly to the industry’s bottom line.
