It’s not uncommon to spend hours looking for detailed information buried in thousands of pages of construction documentation, but it soon may be unnecessary. Construction Technology magazine reports that Artificial Intelligence (AI) “Chatbots”, like the ChatGPT phenomenon currently in the news, may soon do the work in seconds.
Togal.AI produces estimating software for the construction industry and their recently launched OpenAI ChatGPT system lets contractors literally talk to their plans and get instant answers. The system understands natural language questions and then finds the most relevant answers in the project documents and reports them within a few seconds.
According to the company, the technology will free up valuable time currently spent searching for information buried in project documents, allowing users to focus on more important tasks.
