Advanced engine technologies for original equipment manufacturers and comprehensive support for equipment owners help the agriculture market power ahead.
Monday February 12, 2024
To help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and machine owners face the unprecedented challenges of the energy transition, Perkins will present leading-edge solutions that span the entire life cycle of agriculture equipment at the 2024 World Ag Expo in Tulare, Calif., from February 13-15, 2024.
Located in booth G7 of the South Exhibits, Perkins will feature diesel engines representing its wide range from 11 to 800 hp (8.2 to 597 kW) with dual label certification for EU Stage V and U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final standards, its service replacement engine program for extending the life of machinery, and the world-class engine parts and service support provided by Monarch Power Supply, the Perkins distributor for 15 states throughout the western U.S.
“Perkins was founded by a farmer nearly a century ago, and agriculture is deeply rooted in our DNA,” said Bill Giunta, Americas sales director for Perkins. “World Ag Expo provides us with an opportunity to show how we have continually listened and responded to our agricultural customers by developing and producing exceptional power solutions for farmers and ranchers.”
Perkins leadership in agriculture
Since first working with farming equipment manufacturers in the 1930s, Perkins collaboration with the agriculture industry has grown to include the development of high-performing engines and other power solutions for more than 5,000 different machine applications, including some 300 tractor models.
At World Ag Expo, Perkins will showcase five diesel engines specifically engineered for the needs of agriculture equipment, including:
Perkins will also promote its service replacement engine program, which enables end users to extend the life of equipment already in the field. These ‘drop-in’ solutions, which are ideal for busy times – such as partway through harvest – can be quickly and easily installed and come with a minimum 12 months warranty.
Technical experts from Monarch Power Supply will also highlight their suite of customer-focused service and maintenance capabilities for equipment owners. Additionally, Monarch will detail their process for collaborating with agriculture OEMs through engine integration and testing, application engineering and support, onsite auditing and validation, and complete engine package solutions.
Finally, Perkins’ Customer Solutions team will also be on hand to talk about the advanced power systems the company offers, including hybrids, battery solutions and alternative fuels, and how they can be integrated into a wide array of agricultural machinery.
“Perkins has a proven track record of leadership at every stage in the life cycle of agriculture equipment,” said Andy Curtis, customer solutions director. “We stand by our customers starting with the initial design and testing of power solutions that drive the superior performance of machines all the way to the genuine parts, maintenance and service that help end users extract the maximum value years after their initial equipment purchases.”
