New Perkins general sales manager for China appointed

Effective January 1, 2024, Timon Li will become the new general sales manager for China, responsible for defining and delivering the sales plan and strategy for Perkins engines in China. In this position, Timon will lead the China sales team and collaborate with Perkins distributors to provide Perkins products and solutions to original equipment manufacturers throughout China.

“Timon brings deep expertise to the role with engine sales, new product introduction (NPI), technical sales, product marketing and machine designing throughout his 13 years’ experience in the business,” said Tommy Quan, Asia sales director. “Timon has a rich knowledge and experience of the engine industry in China, so I’m delighted to have him join my team as we work hard to drive further growth, seize new opportunities and continue to raise awareness of Perkins’ power solutions and services.”

Timon, who will be based out of the Shanghai, China office, stated: “In this new position, I will continue to work with the team to provide customers with the products they need to be successful. With Perkins' brand reputation, our range of power solutions and our global product support network, we have a compelling offering for our customers."

Timon has a master’s degree in mechanical and electronical engineering from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Jimei University in China.
