The Perkins® 5000 Series is a fully electronic range of inline eight-cylinder and V12 and V16-cylinder engines, engineered specifically for the power generation market to supply critical applications such as data centers and hospitals with dependable critical power. Where downtime isn’t an option, Perkins engines are tested, reliable — and always ON.

Low total cost of ownership

Designed to decrease liquid consumption and extend service intervals with redesigned parts, including new piston ring liner assembly, electronic fuel system, and fuel filters. 

The 5000 Series engine can operate for up to 750 hours or two years between oil services delivering low operating costs.

The 5000 Series engines meet EPA Tier 2 emission standards. It can run with biodiesel up to B20 or on 100 percent hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) to EN15940 (as detailed in the Perkins 5000 Series Operations and Maintenance Manual).
