Gasket and seal kits

Gaskets and seals are an essential part of any engine repair. They keep the gases, fuel and coolant where they should be and as single use items, must be replaced each time they are removed from an engine.

The challenge with any major repair is that you need many gaskets and seals. The parts can be very small and it can be hard to identify everything you need before you start your repairs.

That’s why we have produced gasket and seal kits. These kits have everything you need in a single package. Easier to order and less expensive than buying individual parts, these kits contain all metal gaskets, O-rings and seals that will be needed. We also include additional parts such as replacement clips, single use bolts and dust caps.

To order, you only need to know the job you are planning for and your Perkins engine build list (located with your serial number on the engine nameplate). Your authorised Perkins distributor will do the rest and supply the kit you need.

Modern engine design has replaced many soft gaskets with metal gaskets, rubber seals and O-rings. While many of these components look to be undamaged when an engine is disassembled, their surfaces and coatings are actually designed for single use.

This means that, regardless of their appearance, all parts removed during an engine repair or rebuild must be replaced.

Perkins gaskets and seals are designed and manufactured to fit their specific engine. They’re built to last for thousands of engine hours and to withstand operating temperatures up to 750°C and pressures up to 155 bar (2250 psi), giving you the reassurance that they will work in all conditions.
