Wednesday September 29, 2021

Perkins Engines Company Limited has entered into an agreement appointing S.A.C.I.H. Petersen—known locally as H. Petersen—as the authorised Perkins distributor for Paraguay.

Drawing on its extensive industrial engines experience, H. Petersen is headquartered in Limpio in Asuncion, the country’s capital city, with a further four branches strategically located around the country. Its highly experienced team of sales, repair and servicing technicians have worked with engines and machines for many years.

The Perkins distributorship will be managed by Hugo Vega, who brings over 20 years’ experience in the service area of the business and Jose Britos, who for over 12 years has managed the parts business for the wider company.

“Paraguay is very strong in the agriculture, cattle ranch and construction industries,” said Jaz Gill, Vice President of global sales, marketing, service and parts at Perkins. “Many OEMs use Perkins-powered equipment such as tractors, sprayers, water pumps and generator sets, meaning there is a large engine population which needs to be serviced and supported by an experienced team. H. Petersen is very well-placed to provide our valued customers with the exceptional service they expect.”

Juan Maria Petersen, H. Petersen’s general director said: “Being the Perkins distributor will enable us to reach more customers in Paraguay, expanding our portfolio of solutions to the agricultural and construction industries. Customers will benefit from our highly trained technicians, our infrastructure set up and our extensive experience with industrial engines. We are excited and honoured to be named as the Perkins distributor for Paraguay.”
