The 2028 Olympic and Paralympic games in Los Angeles, California will be unique in that there will be no permanent structures built to support them. Instead, the games will use more than 40 temporary venues and overlays creating an unprecedented opportunity for the rental industry.
As reported in Compact Equipment magazine, Sunbelt Rentals will be the official equipment provider for the games. Based in South Carolina, Sunbelt has more than 1,400 North American locations, 35 of which are in the Los Angeles area. They also have extensive experience supporting large scale events like the LA28 games.
The article states that Sunbelt will provide power and HVAC, heavy equipment, ground protection, temporary fencing and scaffolding for 40 or more venues and Team USA during the games. The installations will be supported by expert teams and equipment drawn from the Sunbelt network.
