The theme for the European Rental Association’s (ERA) 2024 convention is “The Future of Rental” with major emphasis on decarbonisation and the industry’s evolving role in the global energy transition. The convention is scheduled for May 15 and 16 in Lisbon, Portugal.
International Rental News magazine quoted ERA president Stéphane Hénon describing the event as a place “...where ideas are put into action, pushing our industry forward towards a more sustainable future.”
Issues scheduled for discussion during the convention’s three-part plenary session include decarbonisation and carbon calculation; assessment of current rental industry practices; a comparison of energy transition in the automotive and construction industries; and an updated rental industry forecast. A number of workshops and panel discussions also are scheduled during the event.
The convention will end with an address by keynote speaker, Callum Chace, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert. His presentation will discuss his vision for the future impact of AI on business strategy and technology.
