Innovative service and support solutions on show at the Irish Ploughing Championships
Significant investments in online parts shops and connected assets has seen Perkins deliver a range of service and support solutions which are benefiting farmers and the wider agricultural sector.
As part of its ongoing commitment to this market, Perkins is, for the first time, exhibiting at the Irish Ploughing Championships in Fenagh, Co Carlow, Ireland from September 17-19, 2019.
Located at Stand 248, Row 12, Block 2, the experienced Perkins team will be joined by service and support technicians from DiPerk Power Solutions – its recently appointed distributor for Ireland.
As well as promoting DiPerk’s extensive service and support capabilities, Perkins is also making farmers aware of the benefits of using genuine parts on their equipment. Parts are supplied from the UK based Perkins Global Distribution Centre which stocks more than 30,000 Perkins genuine parts. By leveraging our global logics centre capabilities, parts are available for immediate despatch to our customers in Ireland.
Perkins will also be promoting the free Perkins® My Engine App which provides truly useful engine information including:
- Engine running hours
- Service reminders and service log
- Parts book and consumables information
- Location
- Service, maintenance and workshop manuals for UN ECE R96 Stage IIIA or below engines*
- Quick links to buy parts in Ireland
The app is enhanced further when coupled with the award-winning Perkins® SmartCap for real time engine hours and location data.
Making its Irish debut, the Perkins SmartCap is the world’s first low cost engine level telematics device, which importantly works on both mechanical and electronic engines and is sure to be of interest to farmers.
The Perkins SmartCap is a replacement oil filler cap which monitors your engine and sends data direct to the Perkins My Engine App on your smartphone.
