Each year, the rental world converges at The ARA Rental Show to get an up-close and personal look at the exciting innovations, network with peers and discuss trends in the equipment rental industry. And this year was no different with one exciting exception: Perkins announced the launch of its newest, not to mention, rental-friendly turbo engine the 403J-11T.
The 3-cylinder 403J-11T joins three other 24 hp (18.4 kW) Perkins engines that also meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards. “For this critical power of 24 hp, OEMs need to balance multiple engine characteristics to get the best match for their machines,” says Oliver Lythgoe, marketing manager for small engines at Perkins. “The 403J-11T is particularly suitable for machines that need good torque performance, but also need the smallest package possible.”
But the excitement didn’t stop there. Not only did we unveil the Perkins Rental Loyalty Program--which allows users who register their engines to receive points that can be used toward discounts for tooling, training, parts and more--we also reinforced our commitment to OEMs through investment in new manufacturing lines and cutting-edge automation technologies.
“Our OEM and rental customers appreciate our unique ability to collaborate with them based on their needs, as well as provide them with reliable, quality products,” says Perkins manager of global rental operations, Andy Zuckerman.
The ARA Rental Show featured a variety of Perkins-powered machines including Sulliar’s 375H Air Compressor powered by the 1204J, Wanco’s 60 HZ Generator using the 404D engine, Allmand’s Night Light Pro II featuring the 403F-11, Load Lifter’s 2400-F Fork Lift and 643-I Telehandler powered by Perkins® Syncro 2.8 and 3.6 engines, and many more.
Our small engines marketing manager, Oliver Lythgoe, made a big splash showing off the new Perkins 403J-11T to ForConstructionPros.com. And now you can get to know our engines even better through our new virtual tool.
