T&M Browser Solutions to run its fleet on HVO
As more fleets switch to greener fuel options, T&M Bowser Solutions is switching its tanker fleet to run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) fuel, reports The Construction Index.
The company manufactures tankers and already delivers HVO fuel to Skanska construction sites. The Swedish firm uses the HVO to power all its site-based plant and equipment as it seeks to be carbon net zero by 2045.
Now, T&M aims to transition its own fleet of delivery vehicles to HVO. Initially, it will introduce the fuel across all major sites and vehicles running from head office, meaning roughly 70 percent of the fleet will move to HVO. A complete switch could happen within a year.
T&M currently operates a fleet of 100 vehicles. Approximately half serve rail projects, including HS2, with the rest serving other construction sectors and highway improvements.
