Frank Perkins, the man whose name is behind all Perkins engines, founded the company back in 1932. But he didn't just make diesel engines - Frank was a farmer, with a 400-acre farm.

This unique combination meant he saw how much diesel engines could benefit the agricultural market, and farming hasn’t looked back since.
