The Perkins® 2606A-E13TAG is built to maximise efficiency, even in the harshest conditions worldwide. So, no matter where you need it the 2600 Series for electric power is ready to deliver for both prime and standby applications.
Smaller and lighter than the 2206 and 2506, the footprint of the 2600 Series for electric power generation makes it easier to install and manage. This 6-cylinder, 12.9-litre engine boosts a 5% weight reduction compared to the 2206 and a 14% weight reduction compared to the 2506.
The 2600 Series for electric power is designed to perform at altitudes of up to 3,500 metres, and in extreme ambient temperatures as high as 60 C (140 F) and as low as minus 40 C (minus 40 F) with aids.
Electronically operated fuel injectors and carefully matched turbocharging help the 2600 Series lower fuel consumption by up to 6% compared to the 2206. Optimised air, cooling, and lubrication systems help achieve fuel consumption as low as 182 g/kWhr for 50 Hz and 190 g/kWhr for 60 Hz.
Every aspect of the 2600 for electric power generation is focused on supplying power that maximises efficiency wherever possible while considering total ownership costs. That means starting with intelligent engine design, monitoring performance through Engine Management System EMS, and delivering the lifetime of support needed to keep applications running smoothly—from standard maintenance routines to quick parts delivery.
