Chinese machine manufacturer teams up with Perkins to create a high-performing street cleaner that is delighting owners and operators at home and abroad.
Haide road sweepers are a familiar sight on the streets of many Chinese cities. The company, which is based in Yantai, Shandong Province, was established in 1991. Today, it’s one of the country’s leading manufacturers of road maintenance and environmental equipment.
With a strong reputation for building efficient and dependable machines, Haide chooses its engine suppliers extremely carefully.
When it developed its streamlined new compact sweeper the CHD5021TSL, Haide selected Perkins® 403D-11 engines to power the machine. Working closely with Perkins distributor Lei Shing Hong Machinery, Haide picked out Perkins because of its strong brand position, product support excellence both in China and abroad, and proven expertise around engine integration.
The 403D-11 is a mechanical engine which meets China NonRoad III emission standards. A member of the successful Perkins® 400 Series family, which has been in production for more than 10 years, the engine is specially designed for the compact equipment market. Customers enjoy proven reliability, durability, high performance, flexible integration and low costs throughout a lifetime of ownership.
Since the engines were introduced, owners and operators have been extremely positive about the machine’s ease of use, its high performance, low fuel consumption, low noise and ease of maintenance.
With hundreds of the sweepers already sold, Haide is keen to further develop its relationship with Perkins and collaborate on new products in the future.
In addition to manufacturing sweepers, Haide supplies a variety of utility equipment, including road washers, food waste collectors and snow ploughs to China’s domestic and export market.
