For Riyadh’s Al Khozama hotel, standby power simply has to check-in immediately whenever the local grid supply fails. Thanks to a dependable generator set provided by Perkins and Al Faddaghi and Partners, this business-critical back-up arrives on time, every time.
Hotel Al Khozama, in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, is regarded as one of the city’s premium business and holiday hotels. With a fantastic location in the heart of the Olaya financial, business and shopping district, it blends rich Arabian traditions with the best in modern comfort.
The hotel’s facilities include 175 guestrooms, 12 luxury suites, an Italian restaurant, bakery, and meeting and conference facilities for up to 50 guests. With an excellent reputation to uphold, the hotel’s power supply must be equally excellent. Power outages – and the disruption they cause to lighting, air-conditioning and facilities – are unacceptable and unwelcome.
In order to keep power flowing at all times – and to comply with national hotel standards – the company embarked on a search for a state-of-the-art emergency power solution.
A representative from the hotel reached out to established power solution supplier Al Faddaghi and Partners for support. Since it was founded in 1987, Al Faddaghi has grown to become a leading force in electric power. It operates an impressive 55,000 sqm manufacturing and assembly facility, and central service workshop in the city, and also has branches across the Kingdom.
With 200 highly trained engineering and production staff, the company serves the needs of clients across industries including Saudi’s government ministries, hospitality, finance and construction.
For this project, Hotel Al Khozama specified a solution that would guarantee the continuous operation of all its electrical equipment in the event of a failure on the local grid. After analysing the opportunity, Al Faddaghi proposed a Bravo-branded generator powered by the Perkins® 4006-23TAG3A.
The 4006-23TAG3A was a compelling choice for the application. With 23 litre displacement, the unit delivers up to 900 kVA of standby power, and provides low operating and maintenance costs, and proven reliability. Its compact design also made installation as fast and straightforward as possible, minimising disruption for the hotel’s customers.
The 4006-23TAG3A provides the customer with total peace of mind, business continuity, and the knowledge that whenever the power system falls flat, the hotel’s customers won’t be affected.
Since its installation in 2016, the generator set has provided flawless standby power. When power on the grid checks out, Perkins-powered generation checks in – supporting the hotel’s ongoing success and maintaining its proud reputation.
