Perkins highlights full engine range at Belagro 2018

Perkins makes its debut at Belagro 2018, a leading international agricultural technology show in Belarus, from June 5-10, taking a message of innovation, expertise and capability to this expanding market. The engines on display underline the company’s ability to offer a solution to suit every original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) machine line-up. Perkins staff will be on hand with expert support.

Perkins is exhibiting for the first time this year at Belagro, the international agricultural technology exhibition in the Belarus capital, Minsk, from June 5-10.

The company will be promoting the full extended Perkins power range from 6-600 kW, including the new 9-18 litre range, and highlighting over 85 years of experience designing and manufacturing high-performance diesel engines.

Sylvia Burwood, Marketing Manager for Europe, Africa, Middle East and CIS, said the Perkins team is looking forward to its first Belagro show. “This is an expanding territory for us,” she said.

“We’re already working with a lot of OEMs in this area and look forward to meeting many of them, plus potential new customers, at the show.

Four engines on show

Perkins will have four engines on show: the 404D-22T, Perkins® Syncro 3.6, 1104D-44T and 2806J-E18TA.

The 404D-22T is the ideal engine for a wide range of off-highway applications. It is offered with both indirect (IDI) and common rail fuel injection systems. A powerful but quiet 2.2 litre turbocharged unit delivering impressive performance with low operating costs in a small efficient package. Designed to meet EU Stage IIIA/U.S. EPA Tier 4 Interim equivalent emission standards.

The Perkins Syncro 3.6 is a modular engine concept which allows OEMs to design one engine installation for many different regions. Reliability and easy service access are integral to the compact design of this 3.6 litre engine which is available with a range of installation options to enable OEMs to minimise the size of the engine space of their machines.

The 1104D-44T is part of the Perkins® 1100 Series. The 1104 range offers a choice of mechanical or electronically controlled common rail engines. Common front and rear ends, connection points and components across the range make it easy to install a different 1100 Series engine in your application.

The largest of the Perkins engines, the 2806J-E18TA, is an 18.1 litre, 6 cylinder product capable of producing 597 kW (800 hp). Using diesel particulate filter (DPF) technology, these engines meet EU Stage IV / U.S. Tier 4 Final certification, and are Stage V capable, which allows for sales into countries with the highest global emissions standards.

Single engine supplier

This Perkins representation underlines the fact that OEMs can power their full machine line-up with a single engine supplier, keeping development costs to a minimum and ‘future-proofing’ machines to meet emissions standards.

“Perkins stands for more than engines,” said Sylvia. “We value the relationships we have with our customers throughout the lifecycle of their machines.

“We’re here to put our expertise at the disposal of our customers.”
