Ryan Gustafson named Perkins President
Ryan Gustafson has been named President of Perkins Engines Company Limited. Ryan’s appointment was announced following Steve Ferguson’s appointment to a new role in Caterpillar.
In addition to his role as Perkins President, Ryan will have global responsibility for the design, manufacturing, marketing and sales of 0.5 to 18 litre engines and sales and marketing responsibility for the Perkins® 4000 and 5000 Series engines. Perkins engines are manufactured in the U.K., U.S., South America, India and China and are supported by authorised Perkins distributors in over 180 countries.
“Ryan is an exceptional leader who combines deep industry experience with a strong commitment to customers, employees and partners,” said Steve. “His proven ability to build high-performing teams and deliver results makes him the right leader to guide Perkins into the future.”
Ryan brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning engineering, operations, remanufacturing, purchasing and global business management roles.
In his current role as the vice president and general manager of Perkins large engines, Ryan has focused on the design, engineering, manufacturing, application support and aftermarket performance of 7.2 to 18 litre engines, including the launch of the new Perkins® 2600 Series range. During his tenure, he has driven a culture of operational excellence, championed lean principles, and led the team to improve safety and quality.
