Today, our commitment to the agricultural industry remains as strong as ever, with Perkins showcasing its latest agricultural engines at Belagro 2019 in Minsk, Belarus from June 4 - 9, 2019.

“Today, the Perkins brand stands for better productivity through robust reliability, improved uptime and economical performance” Andy Curtis, agricultural strategy and global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) sales director said. “Over many years of working with closely with agricultural businesses around the world, we’ve developed a deep understanding of the requirements of the market.” 

He continued: “We understand what end users want from their machine and that, ultimately, they need their machine to make them money. By understanding their needs, we’re able to design reliability and efficiency – the way our customers want it – into every product.”

 

Reliable solutions for every agricultural application

From 0.5 litre to 18 litre, Perkins engines deliver 8.2 to 597 kW of powerful performance, offering a comprehensive range of engines for use in agricultural applications, whatever the emission standard.

“Perkins is committed to agriculture for the long term” Andy said. “And while we may be more commonly known for powering tractors, we have solutions for every piece of agricultural equipment, from combines and sprayers, and telehandlers to compact loaders, whatever the emission standards.

“Our newest products clearly demonstrate our ongoing commitment to this sector. Our Perkins® Syncro 3.6 litre agricultural platform was designed and developed with agricultural equipment manufacturers and end users in mind.”

Perkins will be showcasing a range of engines from its portfolio at Belagro 2019:

  • The 403J-11 is a 3-cylinder, 1.1 litre ultra‑compact, lightweight engine that delivers up to 18.9 kW and 69 Nm of torque.
  • The new Perkins Syncro 3.6 litre offers power up to 100 kW, excellent peak and low speed torque and economic fuel consumption.
  • The versatile 4.4 litre turbocharged 1104D-44T delivers power up to 74.5 kW and 392 Nm of torque and has single side service components, for ease of end user servicing.
  • At the top end of the engine range, the 2806J-E18TA is an 18.1 litre, 6-cylinder product capable of producing 470 kW and 2953 Nm of torque.

 

Building the Perkins brand in Belarus

“Perkins has been supporting the ambitions of Belarus’ leading OEMs for nearly three years,” said Dave Robinson, Perkins business development manager. “Since entering the market we’ve made impressive progress, with nearly 40 projects across a range of leading manufacturers.

“Many OEMs are looking west and seeing opportunities to sell into Europe. By choosing Perkins, a trusted and proven global brand, OEMs add credibility to their machines. We can also give them the emissions compliant products to support their export requirements, which aren’t available domestically.”

Dave continued: “We’re in the business of making our customers more successful. We want to reach as many OEMs as we can, open new doors with them and help them become even more successful.”

 

Service, repair and Perkins genuine parts

Visitors to Belagro will learn about the support Perkins offers through all stages of an engine’s life, from servicing to repair and overhaul. Experts will be on hand to explain the benefits of using Perkins genuine parts and the availability of parts across engine series and ages. The benefits of a Perkins® Platinum Protection extended warranty plan will also be promoted.

Success in any country depends on having a strong partner on the ground. That’s why Perkins distributor Hited has recruited established dealer PMI to take responsibility for all Perkins product support in Belarus. The company has intimate knowledge of the agricultural market in Belarus, understands the needs of local OEMs and has well-established relationships with leading manufacturers.
