Case study: Croatian water taxi

Perkins M185C engines power the water taxi operating between the island of Rab, the mainland port of Jablanac and the islands of Krk and Pag in Croatia. The 6 cylinder, 6 litre Perkins marine engines have proven to be highly reliable, have a low cost of ownership, operate with low emissions and with low noise and vibration.

Case study: Power of choice

Perkins has completed the re-power of Ganesh, a Wauiquiez 43, through their distributor Parts & Power Ltd in Tortola. Cruising World Editor-At-Large, Gary “Capt’n Fatty” Goodlander, has replaced the 30+ year old Perkins 4.154 with a new Perkins M92B.

Case study: Scotland shellfish

A two-man shellfish catching business, operating off the north coast of Scotland, uses the Perkins M185C engine. Perkins marine worked closely with the customer to de-rate the engine from the standard 190 hp at 2100 rpm to a more economic 160 hp at 1850 rpm.
