Wacker Neuson - compact excavator that’s streets ahead

European machine builder Wacker Neuson linked up with Perkins to create the EW65. This versatile wheeled excavator breaks new ground for its power, speed and ease of operation.

Wacker Neuson is a leading builder of light and compact construction machines, and a popular choice across many global worksites. With a boundless passion for progress, the company is now taking on the compact wheeled excavator market with its versatile, mobile and fuelefficient EW65.

The machine’s compact size, speed of up to 18.6 mph and exceptional mobility, make it the ideal choice for any job that requires an excavator to move around a job site – or to be driven to and from sites in urban areas.

At the heart of the new machine is a Perkins® 404D-22T turbocharged engine. Wacker Neuson selected the unit for its market-leading power, low fuel consumption and ease of maintenance.

The Perkins 404D-22T is capable of delivering 36.4 kW at 2,200 rpm, meets China Nonroad Stage III emission standards, and delivers proven reliability and peace of mind.

Class-leading technology

In addition to its high-performance Perkins engine, the EW65 is packed with innovative features. A three-pin bucket linkage system provides best-in-class force for breaking ground and helps to keep the load secure before dumping.

A state-of-the-art load-sensing hydraulic system ensures precise and responsive operation. Machine users can also select an ‘ECO’ operating mode, according to working conditions, which improves fuel consumption and makes the machine cheaper to run.

Extensive testing of the Wacker Neuson EW65, equipped with the Perkins 404D-22T, has

shown it outperforms competitors in terms of boom lift, 90-degree excavation cycle, and movement of the dipper stick, which enables fast and highly efficient levelling.

With powerful engines, significantly reduced turning radius, increased digging depths and simple operation, the new EW65 wheeled excavator is highly productive, highly mobile and highly cost-effective.
