A range of best-in-class engine solutions built in Brazil will be on display as Perkins makes its annual trip to Latin America’s biggest agricultural technology event, Agrishow, in May. Alongside an array of dependable engines, all designed to increase machines’ productivity and meet local emission standards, the company will also promote the importance of using genuine parts to increase uptime – and prolong the life of its engines.
Perkins will be back on familiar ground at the annual Agrishow in Brazil from May 1 to 5, 2017.
With its Curitiba manufacturing facility well established in the south of the country, the company will promote the strength of its local presence with a showcase of outstanding engines, manufactured to global standards on domestic soil – and ready to meet Brazil MAR-1 emission standards.
Agrishow is the leading agricultural technology tradeshow in Latin America, with 800 brands exhibiting and 152,000 visitors expected to attend.
An array of diesel engines, all of which meet MAR-1 emission standards, will take the spotlight on the Perkins stand, F11D1.
Among them will be the 4 cylinder 404-22, a turbocharged 2.2 litre unit delivering up to 66 hp. Its high power density, low fuel consumption and 500-hour service intervals make it a popular choice for compact agricultural equipment and generator set manufacturers.
A range of engines solutions from the 1100 Series will also feature, all of them manufactured at the Curitiba facility to Perkins renowned global standards of quality and reliability.
These will include the 1103, which delivers 78 hp and is designed with compact industrial and agricultural applications in mind; the 4 cylinder 1104, which delivers up to 142 hp; and the 6 cylinder 1106 – a seriously powerful engine solution providing up to 275 hp.
The 1104 and 1106 also serve the electric power market, achieving 55-125 kVA and 250 kVA respectively.
Alongside this impressive collection of dependable engines, Perkins will be communicating the importance of using Perkins genuine parts for maintenance and repair.
With customers depending on Perkins engines to get their work done, it’s important they don’t put that at risk by fitting components that aren’t genuine. By always using genuine parts – all meticulously designed, precision engineered and extensively tested – customers can maximise productivity, minimise downtime and extend the life of their Perkins engines.
Perkins will use the event to reinforce its ongoing commitment and expertise in the Brazilian – and broader Latin American – market. The company’s local presence means customers in the region get their Perkins engines direct from the factory in the fastest possible time. They can also rely on Perkins engineers to fully understand MAR-1 emission standards – the first in South America – and advise on how it applies to new machines.
Andy Zuckerman, director Americas sales and distribution, said of the upcoming event. “We’re excited to promote the strength of our local presence in the important Latin American market. We want to promote the changes we’ve been making to our brand such as growing our talented team and making new investments in our mechanical and electronic products. These changes are already enabling us to expand our business.
“We are committed to the Brazilian and Latin American markets so we have expanded our marketing activities and hired new people across a wide range of job roles, all of which is showing positive business growth. At Agrishow we will be sharing these messages loud and clear with existing and potential new customers.”
