Perkins popular 2000 Series meets China III Non-Road emissions standards

The Perkins® 2000 Series is a family of 6 cylinder air-to-air turbocharged diesels that feature mechanically operated unit fuel injectors with electronic control and carefully matched turbocharging to help maximise fuel economy.

Available to order as a fan-to-fly wheel arrangement or as an ElectropaK to make installation easier, the power-to-weight ratios of the range result in exceptional fuel economy, making the engines the ideal choice for today’s power generation industry.

Low oil usage, low wear rates and high compression ratios ensure users benefit from reliable, clean and rapid starting in all conditions. There are over one hundred thousand 2000 Series engines installed in generator sets around the world, ensuring the range has a proven legacy of reliability.

This family of engines covers the key power nodes of 400 kVA, 500 kVA and 600 kVA reliably and cleanly. The 13 litre Perkins 2206D-E13TAG3™ and the 15 litre 2506D-E15TAG2™ have already been certified for China III Non-Road emissions standards. The 18 litre 2806D-E18TAG1A™ is soon to complete its certification process.

Daniel Bentley, Director Sales and Distribution for Asia Pacific, said: “By meeting China III Non-Road emissions standards, Perkins continues to demonstrate its sustainable commitment to the environment, and future generations by building greater efficiency into our engines.”
