Exciting news for Perkins US customers as perkins.com/shop prepares to open for business

At ConExpo 2017 Perkins is announcing three significant new investments in its Aftermarket offering, giving end users quick access to genuine Perkins parts, up to date information on their engine and service and support from their local Perkins distributor.

This is the start of an exciting journey for Perkins and our Aftermarket business. The new initiatives we’re promoting at ConExpo 2017 will enhance the service and support millions of Perkins end users already receive from our global network of trained Perkins distributors.

Initially targeted at US customers, Perkins has announced that a new online platform called perkins.com/shop will be coming soon. The online shop will allow US customers of Perkins engines to buy genuine Perkins parts over the internet.

The online shop will initially offer quick, easy access to the most commonly ordered Perkins parts. If a part isn’t currently available to buy through perkins.com/shop then end users will be able to register their interest in the product. This request will be passed on to the local Perkins distributor, who will follow up with the customer on their purchase and other service needs.

The online shop is supported by a new Perkins Regional Parts Distribution Centre in Kentucky. Parts ordered through the shop will benefit from rapid shipping by air and road, depending on the customer’s preference, direct from the Kentucky parts warehouse. 

Targeted at machine owners, rental businesses, repair and engineering shops and mobile service and repair engineers, perkins.com/shop will initially only accept and process orders from a US address.

Perkins® “My Engine” App

A new Perkins “My Engine” App will soon be available to download from the Apple and Google stores. This free smartphone app will allow the end user to register their Perkins engine, access their OMM (Operating Maintenance Manual) and parts book.

The app also enables the user to keep a service record and easily make contact with their local Perkins Distributor, through the Distributor Locator feature.

Ideal for owners and operators of Perkins powered machines, the app will provide easy access to engine specific information such as; build list, series, type, model, Perkins Platinum Protection indicator, parts book, OMM, a consumable list, up and coming services and a completed service log.

Perkins cap

Later this year a new Perkins cap will be launched. Designed to replace the oil filler cap, this low cost connectivity solution will allow end users to connect their mobile device to their engine via the Perkins “My Engine” App, allowing them to receive useful engine data such as engine running hours.
