Perkins' Charity of the Year - Macmillan Cancer Support

Perkins employees have selected Macmillan Cancer Support as the company's charity of the year for 2011 and 2012.

Perkins, which matches all monies raised by employees, hopes to raise £40,000 during the first year of a two year partnership. As well as supporting the charity’s fundraising initiatives, Perkins’ employees will also be undertaking a number of voluntary activities, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. The charity is a source of support for patients who live with cancer, as well as providing vital help to carers, families and communities. It guides people through the system, supporting them every step of the way. In addition to medical help Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical support in peoples’ homes from a lift to the hospital, to precious time off for a carer.
