Perkins' perfect partnership with Sue Ryder Care
Perkins employees have chosen Sue Ryder Care as their charity of the year. The company is seeking to raise at least £40,000 in the first year of a two-year partnership.
The company is a longstanding supporter of Sue Ryder Care and employees are now aiming to get even more involved in the charity’s fundraising activities with plans to assist with a whole range of volunteering projects as well as participating in many Sue Ryder Care signature events such as Lights of Love and Ride for Ryder.
Perkins employees have already made a great start with the Blazing Saddles cycling squad raising more than £6,000 for Sue Ryder Care, which will be matched by the company, through their 1,017 mile sponsored cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’ Groats.
Stephen Torrans, human services director at Perkins said: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Sue Ryder Care; a charity which has been strongly supported by our employees for many years. We believe this partnership will enable us to help more people in need of specialist care over the coming years.”
