Deeping Round Table get an insight into Perkins
Eight members of Deeping Round Table got the chance to learn more about Perkins, its products and history, when they visited the Peterborough site.
Members of the Round Table spent several hours at the company’s product training centre where they took part in a variety of tasks which tested their skill, observation and knowledge of Perkins’ engines and its history.
Darren Scott, chairman of Deeping Round Table thanked the Perkins team, adding: “The event was very well organised. It was a fun, informative evening. It provided a good insight into Perkins’ products.”
Following the event Deeping Round Table, which raises around £20,000 a year in support of local charities and organisations, donated £150 to Sue Ryder Care – Perkins’ Charity of the Year.
Perkins’ product trainer David Brady stated: “We were pleased to be able to host this event for the Deeping Round Table. Members enjoyed the evening and welcomed the chance to find out more about Perkins, its products and the important role it plays in the local community.”
